A weekend at Mt Assiniboine Lodge (with a baby)

Our fly in/fly out weekend at Assiniboine Lodge. Snagging a last-minute cancellation was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. With its remote location and notoriously limited bookings, we jumped at the chance—even with a newborn in tow. The timing wasn’t perfect, but with a cabin available and a helicopter flight secured, we were ready and eager to visit this bucket list location.

Hiking to Skoki Lodge (with a baby)

Our experience hiking to Skoki Lodge with our 3.5-month-old. From navigating diaper changes and feedings on the go to enjoying the stunning views and cozy lodge meals, we share the highs and lows of our first backcountry family adventure in the Canadian Rockies.

Hey, Hi and Hello!

I’m Kat, and I’m a lover of the outdoors.

I’m a designer, photographer, and weekend wanderer who captures quiet moments and wild places. With a background in graphic design, photography and marketing, and a passion for storytelling, I blend clean visuals with lived outdoor experiences. Through thoughtful photos, stories and prints, I share an honest, reflective look at life outside—with family, friends, and a bit of wonder.

I’ve recently entered my mom era, and have been adjusting my time outdoors to include a new little explorer. Stepping into parenthood has been my biggest adventure yet, and while our trips look a little different these days, my husband and I are embracing the challenges that come with introducing our daughter to the outdoors.

From weekends spent camping to bucket-list trips, I’ll share glimpses of our experiences here and on social media. Where I hope you’ll find some inspiration for your own path—whatever it looks like.
